Find out how the gloriously stylised interior inspired the designers of the Titanic; how the hotel played host to Princes, Maharajahs and famous foreign diplomats, and how it emerged, bloodied but unbowed, from the Blitz bombing of WWII, only to be restored to its former glory.
Afternoon Tea at Good Godfrey's consists of an assortment of finger sandwiches, mouth-watering array of delicate pastries and little cakes and scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Indulge with luxurious champagne and choose from a wide range of distinct blends of tea, imported by specialist tea suppliers from around the world.
The history tour runs from Thursday to Saturday at 3pm, and booking is essential.
